Crochet Cupcake Applique

This pattern uses US terms

Abbreviations:

MR - magic ring

sc - single crochet

inc - increase - 2 sc in the same stitch

dc - double crochet

trc - treble crochet

sl st - slip stitch

ch - chain

hdc - half double crochet

yo - yarn over

blo - back loop only

fo - fasten off

 

Pattern: 

For the Cupcake case:

slip knot, chain 5, 

(sc) x 4, ch1 and turn

blo - (sc) x 4, ch1,

blo - (sc) x 4, ch1

blo - (sc) x 4, ch1

blo - (sc) x 4, ch1

Change colour for the icing

With the wrong side facing you, (sc) x 7 along the edge of cupcake ch1 and turn

hdc, dc, (trc) x 3, dc, (hdc and sl st, in same stitch) Fasten off

For the cherry

Join yarn in the 3rd stitch on the icing, sl st, (sc inc ( all in the fourth stitch ), sl st (in the fifth stitch.
