So this weekend I've been working really hard trying to get a couple of projects finished...

Lets start with the easy one its another Ridged Round Ripple in Knowledge is flower because my aunt wants the other one, so this time I started with the pale colours in the middle - not really sure which one i prefer, but I think both look pretty amazing.

Then on to the other project I have been working on this weekend, Its the poncho I have been making in blossom -  shetland heather aran. I needed to make two panels which in itself was a bit boring to be fair, but finally I finished the second panel, then I had to join them together...

I measured around my neck to make sure the hole in the middle was big enough... Billy looked at it and said was it big enough, so I tried it and it definitely was not big enough, so I kept extending the opening until it fit over my head and then...

I matress stitched the two panels together leaving the head hole. I then decided that I wanted a ribbed collar, so I alternated between front post double crochet and back post double crochet, I did three rows to get it quite high up my neck.

Then I bordered both the panels together with midnight blues shetland heather aran... However although it looks pretty I'm not quite happy with it, its very square that is partly due to my size but I have a decision to make do I use buttons, to join the sides together meaning it is a poncho or do I sew up the sides to make it more like a sleeveless jumper, which would hopefully get rid of the 'square' or 'sack of potatoes' look? What do you think?
